Pantone Color of the Year 2008

If you're looking for a new decorating color to ring in the New Year, consider Pantone's 2008 Color of the Year. (Yes, they actually award a single color this honor each year).

'Blue Iris' (or 18-3943 TCX for the designers out there) is also one of the 3,000 colors available in Pantone’s line of superior-quality, eco-friendly paint.

Denver Museum of Contemporary Art

Denver's MCA was designed by London-based architect David Adjaye and is a marvel of environmental efficiency.

"An environmentally-efficient building. MCA is actively pursuing LEED certification, which would make MCA the first contemporary art museum in the country to achieve such status. Plenty of natural light, 20% of recycled construction content, and the use of light coloured, highly reflective concrete are only some of the points to support the MCA Denver's aim to become the first Gold LEED certified contemporary art museum in the States."
